I can't stand Watt. Such a sour, miserable little wanker, and always incredibly biased towards one fighter in every fight. Mayweather last night especially. Please get rid of him.

 

Thats the thing he picks his fighter either before or during the opening exchanges then just makes a statement and spends the next 36 minutes qualifying the statement. I don't think he's a wanker at all but I think he's become **** at commentating and Adam Smith is two nice to have his own opinion. I like Adam he's pretty decent but why on earth have them two when you could have Darky and MCCrory who have great chemistry- don't always agree etc etc....

 

What triggered the war of words between Mayweather and Mosley? I was in the casino watching the fight but I couldn't hear due to the activity.

 

That's what he is paid to do though, surely?

A commentator shouldn't (and shouldn't have to) worry about upsetting people because of your opinions.... IMO he just lacks that something to be really good.

Darke is the only person within the Sky team with whom I have no axe to grind.

Don't even get me started on Dave Clark

They did ballhug Mayweather, but his performance was great so I wasn't too bothered.

More concerning was Watt's scorecards in the Katsidis and John fights.

 

I have to echo the sentiments of the thread - dire from start to finish.

Time to start from scratch, in the studio and commentary, me thinks.

Get Enzo Cal in there with subtitles, then we'll get some honesty.

 

I'd love to hear him calling a Malignaggi fight, remember before the Hatton fight he said "Malignaggi has no ability and no bollocks."

Also isn't Enzo meant to be an excellent predictor of fights? I'm sure I read that he was barred from his local bookies as he nearly cleaned them out on the boxing market.

 

That would probably be funny.... He would be a great guest.

 

Enzo Calzaghe is possibly the most annoying man in boxing TBH. He does pick well which in all honsesty isn't hard if you know the sport. All we'd get in the bigger weight division fights would be......... "yeah he's alright Jim but Joe would knock his socks off........."

I backed Watt up with the whole Fury vs McDermott commentary - but not this time, everything was truely terrible - from the completely pro-Mayweather promotion to McCrory intentionally saying "I have my concerns about Floyd coming back after 2 years..." (everyone knew he was pretty much at his best even though he had the lay-off) and then once he won, his earlier quote was used to suck on Mayweather's balls even more! "Its as if he never left! Just like Leonard coming back against Hagler!".................atsch

 

I just wish we could have a fanzone on their. At least then we'd get complete biase from each sides of the fence. Not just all 4 studio idiots and both ringside idiots bigging up whoever they've been told to !!

I've been saying that as well, TFFP. Truly terrible scoring once again and he was shown up when HBO and the real scorecards were read out:rofl! God knows how the Katsidis fight was an SD, though :blood:think. Ah well.

 

It is amazing how Watt fixates on one fighter to the detriment of the other. It sways casual viewers to the genuine outcome.

 

That was very concerning. Probably too busy learning his lines for the main event to watch the fights. Either that or he dosn't know what he's doing.
