sky are reporting on tyson fury? this surely means they'll pick up hennys shows, they never, ever plug fighters on other channels sky monopoly is not good that would be warren, hatton, maloney and possibly hayemaker and henny plus prizefighter, although i can't see them having all those promoters just wouldn't be enough dates unless they introduced a saturday or wednesday FN btw i'm sure they would prefer hennys stable to haye or hatton atm
Completely agree with this statement, as competition is healthy for everybody and it benefits the fans far more. However, if nobody else is going to pick up promoter X, Y & Z's contracts, then I'd rather see it all on Sky than not at all.
at the moment there are only 4 PPV fighters is this country. Hatton, Khan, Froch and Haye. I got a feeling Sky could bring in Hayemaker and Hennesey, and drop Maloney. He has no potential PPV fighters for a long long time.
It would be cool if, Haye, Froch and Khan PPV Warren did less shows but with more fights and moved to Saturdays. Maloney, Hennesey, Hayemaker, Hearn split Friday and Tuesdays. Add in some big US cards in teh AM on saturdays and were getting 3 fights a week on Sky. Be nice if they changed the format of FFN to its getting old and tired.
be stupid to drop Maloney, Jeffries is going to be a huge attraction and Sutherland will be big too. don't think Sky would drop anyone to get Hennessey in, arent short on cash and think they'd probably be quite happy with a card every friday and the odd one on here and there.
If ESPN are going to give a **** about the domestic scene they may get some contracts before sky tie them all down
Isn't it funny that whenever we read a story on the sky sports website that isn't a plug for one of their own fighters we all assume they are inevitably going to end up on sky. It's the first thig I thought when I read the story as well. Lol, sky- what a predictable bunch of muppets. That said, I would be more than happy if Hennessey Sports' shows were to end up on another station- always great viewing, IMO.
Let's hope not. There are a lot of contracts out there all of a sudden if someone chooses to pick them up. Judging by the lack of movement thus far, it does look dim.
dont think it would be too bad a move for sky to pick up henny ...friday fight nights are getting brutal and with all the promoters with them we could get alot more quality boxing on sky
