Ok mate, we'll just have to agree to disagree on the meaning of the announcement! :deal

I hope I'm wrong, I for one will most likely cancel my Sky Sports subscription if it does happen though.

    Time will tell.................:good

I agree once its brought in it's a worse offer than when it was minimum 3 months, at least then you were getting 3 months for £30 now your just getting 1 month for £30.

I think Sean means theres no more rolling month because 1 month in isolation will now cost 20 quid'

Sky will now only show good cards that people want to see and the best british fights, boxnation isnt doing anything for british boxing its the other fights (international ones) thats keeping it going.

1 month on its own will cost £30. Thats £20 subscription fee and the normal £10 monthly fee. They obviously realized that before there was no incentive for people to keep subscribed for a month where there wasn't any interesting matchups as they could just unsubscribe for a month then subscribe again on a month where there were interesting matches. Now people might think twice about unsubscribing because they know that theyl have to pay a subscribtion fee to resubscribe. Its a shame because the rolling month contract was a great deal for the fans.

I think Sky is obviously chucking all of its eggs in one basket - namely football, the Prem and the 'exclusives' i.e. international games ITV don't get and half of a two leg UCL games. The truth of the matter is Sky care little for boxing, they care more for what I said above, footy, and then tennis, golf and test cricket (though the latter I do applaud).

I won't pay a cent to Murdoch and crew (though I have foolishly done in the past) because the man is a **** and a crook. I can live with seeing something put on Sky a day later through friends or family recording the fight for me, or someone trading me a fight they've got.

As for the Boxnation £20 fee, I'm subscribed already, so it doesn't affect me, and on a normal day I can watch boxing from 12pm to whenever I go to bed on Boxnation. Sky can go and ****. If I want to watch football on Sky I'll either go to my parents' place or go to the boozer. As for everything else that's on Sky aside from sport - films, seen what I wanted to see, the other channels?!?? I wouldn't be that bothered for them, and I certainly wouldn't pay for them - Comedy channel...fifty reruns a year of King of Queens....go and ****.

Sky is in HD and their production quality is light years ahead of BoxNation. BoxNation has more content and room to do so much more. However when you watch Ringside you can see a shocking difference and that is on an easy weekly show.

the boxnation website doesnt mention this 20 quid charge yet

    its still saying -

    No gimmicks. No hidden costs.
    No registration fee.
Just £10 a month and no minimum term. Simple.

Well it said it would be on the e-mail they sent me when I told them I was un-subscribing. Maybe it was just an attempt to change my mind but I'd doubt that. I guess we'll see anyway.
