boxnation a dedicated boxing channel shows about 5 live hours a week whats the % of that very low aswell isnt it
Ok, maybe the percentage of 'live' boxing content on Boxnation isn't as high as it could be (well some weeks anyway), it can vary from just 2 hours upto about 15. But with respect to boxing content Boxnation actually broadcasts about 112 hours per week, pretty much what SKy broadcast in a year. Ok I accept that most of this isn't live, and it consists of mostly repeats, but if we are going to get really picky then Sky's amount of 'live' broadcasting is even lower than previously discussed. Ringside is pre-recorded, and the way Sky broadcast a show is usually to show the main event live (and perhaps occassionally the main support) but most of the fights are shown out of the running order and pre-recorded. I'm not trying to turn this into a Sky v Boxnation thing; we've had too many of them, and to be honest it's a pointless argument! I have no allegiance to either channel, I simply want to watch as much boxing on tv as possible. Boxnation has it's problems, but I get the sense that they are trying to improve and grow; my frustration with Sky is that I feel that they are focusing less on boxing and making it harder for me to justify my monthly subscription!:bbb
If someone else apart from Murdoch had such a huge share in Sky I might contemplate having it for football and cricket. A boxing channel it isn't. That's why I pay for Boxnation.
You are missing my point I think............... I can't believe I'm the only person who subscribes to Sky Sports just for boxing! I'm well aware it's not just a boxing channel (the clues in the name), but they do show some good fights, and I enjoy their coverage, I'm just disappointed that they appear to be reducing the amount they show. What's so unreasonable about that?! atsch
The unreasonable bit is you saying you enjoy their coverage, actually it's not unreasonable it's just your opinion, I guess. Heck, though, Sky Sports coverage is awful. I always have their shows on mute when my Dad records them for me.
It seems I always miss the point, I do have Sky Sports mainly for boxing but also for other Sports and we arent mates I dont actually like anyone on here! :good
