Sky's Changes With Regards To Boxing Coverage In The Last Year

I remember about a year ago Sky had nothing but stick on this forum and, as a paying customer, I was one of the voices of dissent as well. Now, just weigh up what we have at this point in time compared to last year:

-Ringside has returned.
-Boxing has a primetime slot and has now moved to Saturday nights.
-Post-fight interviews are definately more confrontational.
-Pre and post-fight 'debate' has actually taken the form of a debate at some points rather than everyone just agreeing all of the time.
-Ian Darke and John Rawling seem to be getting more time on the microphone.
-Adam Smith has calmed down.
-We seem to be getting more Stateside fights for our money.

You have to give credit where it's due. Undoubtedly some of the changes have taken a while due to the impact of the recession, but, nonetheless, Sky have made great strides and have improved the coverage so much in the last year, IMO. I'm sure everyone will still have gripes and will moan, but you can't deny that Sky has upped their game big time.

It's obvious to me that they have been taking criticism on board. Thank you, Sky:thumbsup.

I remember a few occasions where Johnny Nelson has gone against the general consensus; if I remember correctly, he had as disagreement with McCrory and rolled his eyes during the PBF-Mosley card. I get the impression that they really don't like each other.

Anyway, even if you don't think debates and reaction has improved, you can't deny that Sky has improved their boxing coverage overall. Just proves some people will never be happy:-(.

I see your point, but you can't deny that Sky has improved vastly. Ringside alone is a very welcome addition to their coverage, IMO. I thought the first episode was brilliant. Not as fun as the Bunce hour, but still a very good watch. Getting more fights from the States has also been a plus.

I do accept that since your new cooker has arrived your excitement levels can only really go down, though.
