It was a really good promotion. They even had Froch on Test Match Special the day before the fight!

Sky should be given credit for the way they presented the show to. It came off as a major event (which is what it was) - with a new preview show every day in he lead up, good ad placement, weigh ins live on Sky news, lots of coverage etc. A lot of the time they have just let fights slip under the radar in the past.

You know I like their (Matchroom) style. Boxing is most people's second or third sport so it makes sense to '*****' your boxer out to as many different sports as possible: football, darts, snooker, cricket.

I think Matchroom are going to pick up the bulk of the Olympians this summer, It's the best move for a young fighter.

Yep, I think a lot of casuals decided to tune into a fight if it gets a lot of hype on SSN.

Your average domestic fight doesn't get this kind of treatment whereas Brook/Hatton did and that's probably why it was so successful.

the undercard was poor but the main event alone made up for it.

good point ishy. i thought this deserved to beat the previous record, and credit to sky and hearn for pulling it off. i genuinely think boxing is due some more 'glory years' in the mainstream, and thanks to these guys and even david haye, boxings begining to feel popular again. not to mention 5 getting into the mix too.

I enjoyed watching Frampton. I thought the card was decent. You've obviously never attended a Hennessy event :deal

Great ratings for a fight after midnight.

They really need to push for froch v kessler and then if they wanted they could do Froch v Ward II on PPV and it would do very very well.

I thought it must done well as when I got to work this morning everyone wanted to talk about the fight and it is very rare when that happens.

Glad to see Froch getting the exposure he deserves!!

I thought the undercard looked pretty toss on paper but virtually every fight was fairly interesting to watch in the end. :thumbsup

If you put the right fights on PPV theres no issue. Froch vs Kessler II with a proper undercard is a worthy PPV.
