Eddie doesn't want to expose his cash cow. I mean look at Froch, he couldn’t fill his back garden then he gets the exposure turns himself into a ticket selling cash cow and his next fight is against Yusaf Mack.

If you’re not a ticket selling cash cow (Barker) you’ll be thrown into title shots with no hope of winning, if you can shift a decent amount of tickets (Brook, Dudey and even Bellew now) you’ll be protected.

Eddie talks ****, and for some reason gets a free pass when people like \/\/arren are hounded out for every move they make.

Eddie also needs to decide when the best possible time is and which opponent to cash out on Brook, maybe it'll be a Bradley (even the boxing casuals won’t be fooled forever). I assume Eddie being knowledgeable knows what we know which is Brook is shite.

He's probably trying to cash out with a fight against either Khan or Hatton, but he needs to pray to god that Bailey manages to catch Devon as there’s no chance Brook even beats Alexander which will take away a lot of his credibility with the casuals. Making the Hatton/Khan fight much less valuable.

I don`t see anything wrong with Brook turning the Bradley fight down he would`nt have got much in the way money and wouldnt have had much in the way of bargaining power. IBF is the better route, If he gets the belt then he has more power to chose and bargain.

This turn down is like a Carrot and the majority of fans and critics are all having their bite of it, pretty typical....

As for Brooks skills , very solid jab and right hand , as said elsewhere from the waist up his reflexes are sharp good for avoiding punches, but he cant rely just on that form of defence he needs a better guard to go with his reflexes. As for his foot movement he can move when he wants to as in rds 10,11 of the jones fight he was jabbing and moving, but instinctively he moves back in straight lines when under pressure and holds his feet when moving his upper body.
As for the stamina issue it seems Kell has got by on skill alone up until the Jones fight, that fight opened kells eyes, that hes gonna get guys like jones who are gonna stick concrete pressure on him for 12 rds, he never had to face such pressure before so was a bit ignorant to this fact. A blessing in disguise. Certainly showed his got heart and a decent chin.

But lets be honest we can break down most boxers and find their weakness including Bradley. Carson Jones is a throw back, he`ll give any top guy hell. Id like to see how Bradley would handle Jones, yeah Bradley makes you miss but with such rugged pressure surely it would take its toll on Bradley at some point??? Think about the punches and combos Kell was landing on Jones???

Why sign to a slave Top Rank contract with silly options and re-match clauses...and that's if he doesn't get robbed by the judges? When your 1 fight away from a title fight, in which you will be a mandatory and not get signed to such fight contract? Look at the bigger picture people

    I agree.

Also, The only reason he got offered a shot at the title is because of his good work on his way to the IBF title elminator... it's not like all that was a waste because that's the reason why Bradley offered the fight. The funny thing is I think Brook would beat Bradley and he then he could become champion and dictate terms. It's a duck for me.

I can fully understand why they've turned the fight down but that doesn't deflect from the fact that Saldivia, like Carson Jones, are fairly poor opponents that aren't even pushing World class. For all the talk Hearn does, he's not this unique promoter he likes to portray himself as.

Thewinfella's made some very good points in this thread. For all of the athletic attributes Brook posesses, his defence is very average.

Wants to fight bums pick an easy belt up and defend that against more bums. And that's all he wants to do.

This IBF mandatory thing is a joke aswel. Are you guaranteed a title shot next fight if you become mandatory? No. Therefore I'm predicting yet another bum or two even after saldivia

On the topic of Carson Jones it sounds like he's fighting Purdy in December.
