there are 19 bouts scheduled for the event here is the fight poster I shamelessly stole off another forum. the matchup that really stands out is Saiok vs Khamal, but Pornseneh's will be interesting to see considering his exciting style and this being his first international fight.

Thanks for those clips Yaca like the mini doc, shows the humble un macho un egoed attitude almost every Thai fighter I've ever known carries unlike alot of their western brothers. I think it's part of the secret to thier success they don't take themselves so dam seriously!

Nice promo clip to, but dare I say it as ususal Thais fighting outside Thailand looking a bit worse for wear having given their best a few years earlier? Maybe a few exceptions but on the whole that never seems to change.

But will try to track it down to watch or pick up the DVD after.

Im not sure yet how to watch the fights live. Usually they can be viewed in the days following the event in high quality. I believe a dvd would be available for purchase as well in the future usually thats how it works but I will try to find out as the event draws closer.

Saiyok is not on a decline and is the current Lumpinee superwelter champ(154lbs), very exciting fighter to watch.Saiyok pumpanmuang has not lost a match in a very long time. But as was mentioned many time before not alot of good competition at that weightclass for him within Thailand hence Saiyok's entry in this event.

As for the other thai fighters Porseneh and Bovy(bovy has been on a decline for years but still has managed to win a few entertaining fights, he should retire IMHO) they are on the decline I know very little about Nonsai.

I'll try to find out about watching live as well, but if you find anything let me know mate.

As you mention the weight is it really, 154 is really getting up there for a Thai, so it makes sense for Saiyok to go on to conquer the world now he's conquered Thailand, if he could get down to 147 and adjust to the style, a new K1 star?

Watching the promo clip and looking at the fighter's in the sense of age and weight you now they're at the end of their careers with Saiyok as the possible exception. Nonsi's unusual break in career path tells you about Nonsi, lack of competition hence fights, hence paydays near the end of a career seems to have forced him into doorman work. It would be very unusual to have a break like that for a fighter in their prime at any weight especially in Thailand where the need to make a living over rides all factors.

I guess he was knocking around Phuket saw the level of many farangs trianing there and was made an offer to come back cos of his weight and the need for extra dough. Lucky for him there are many many forigners queing up to be bashed around by Thais at that weight.:yep
