It's not like the fight is at 8 in the morning.

Even if they stay up until 3am, they still have all morning and noon to sleep.

I've been interested in how boxers sleep after fights, because of the shots to the head.

Froch recently said that he woke up every hour the night before the Taylor fight, due to being so pumped up and ready for it.

First time I've heard Froch mention anything about his sleep patterns before a fight so maybe this was unusual for him and he normally sleeps ok the night before??

It's an interesting question though - it must have an effect if one fighter has slept well and the other hasnt?

I've heard that Froch has been known to get very nervous before fights in the past.

Yeah, I've heard Froch gets nervous before a fight too. I just thought it was interesting that after the Taylor fight he thought it was worth mentioning that he'd hardly slept the night before??

Maybe he was just trying to justify why it took him 8 rounds to land a punch on Taylor :think

I used to love the cameras cutting to the Lewis dressing room and there he was out like a light, that or playing chess, cool as could be. It's just amazing really because inside he must have been feeling the pressure.
