Kimbo isn't world class, and Seth (despite being average and 205 pounds) is a better fighter.

Your right, he's still very green in the MMA game, though popularity wise he's top 3 easy. Kimbo's got very heavy hands for an MMA fighter, but so did Phil Baroni, and he had his up's and downs. I think we will see Kimbo again, thats just hope he has a better performance than tonite.

Caught? I've slapped people harder then that! That was horrid, just absolutely embarrassing. Do you think ANYBODY is gonna be afraid to exchange with Kimbo anymore? **** that you are gonna see Kimbo NOT running across the ring with his head down going for.....whatever he was trying to do (looked like my 4yo daughter attacking me)? Kimbo will be gunshy after this nightmare. I bet everyone he fight from now on will bewatering at the mouth hoping to exchange with him. Kimbo is done now we SEE why he never excepted ANYONES challenges, and trust me he had ALOT of MMA guys who wanted to fight him.

but he was only popular with innercity kids who know nothing about MMA.

MMA is bigger then the USA popularity is relative, so maybe to you he was top 3 but not everybody.

Well, I think this clears up the "Can Brett Rodgers beat Kimbo debate." I'm going to go out on a huge limb and say that a very average heavyweight could beat him :rofl

Im glad he was taken out but i dont get all the venom at the casual fans who might buy into a lot of the hype. Fact of life people have opinions about things they know nothing about.

How much has kimbo got from his 'career'? - he's done ok for a hype job i guess - hopefully it is over now and the real fighters can get some of the spotlight back - it's a shame lesnar seems annoyingly effective.

That could be an EliteXC record for quickest knock out. Is it? James Thompson fights in EliteXC so he could maybe beat that.

I boxed most of my life, and seen guys take a hell of a beating and not go down, but then seen the same ones take a well placed shot on the temple or chin and they end up doing a nose dive to the canvas or at the very least take a knee. I seen Kimbo take bigger shots and not go down, tonite he got caught cold, it could of happend to anyone, and has happend to alot of good to great fighters.

As far as the numbers are concerned, Kimbo draws heavy crowds and when he fights the average MMA fan watches, even his haters, like many on here. Kimbo may never end up being great, but he has done enough to make people pay attention to him and earn some big paychecks along the way, I say good for him.

he might be a great guy but he will never be a GREAT mma fighter. With a time machine and mma training from a younger age then he has a chance but he came late into a sport which is far more than what he is used to.

I agree good for him, but not for MMA. Tonight, this was good for MMA. I have no problem with Kimbo himself, its guys like you who believe the hype and hype it even more. You guys have no clue, most fans that know MMA, knew this would happen IF Kimbo ever fought someone under 40 years old with halfway decent tools. Now hopefully fighters who have earned respect can get some recognition then all will be right in the world of MMA again. Of course you won't know that because you choose not too but thats how it is.

Oh and about the punch, yea everybody gets caught sometime but you have too admit that was a **** poor punch to be KOed by. If you think otherwise I can't talk to you anymore, you'd be beyond hope....lost.
