Heart & character/mental stability its one and the same thing.

    Judah has none.

I think you need to watch it again, that is exactly what he did NOT do, he stopped fighting after 5 rounds, he just stopped throwing. I cant believe how you can say he kept trying to fight the whole way through. :nut

Pride keeps you in there taking beating. Heart/mental stability means you fight back/to win under fire.

Roger Mayweather went 12 with Kostya but do you think he showed heart in the fight ? No he just showed no ambition and fought to survive.

Heart is overcoming your shortcomings in adverse situations.

It does not always translate to winning nor does it imply any success whatsoever. A fighter can show heart but it doesnt mean that he somehow makes it to 12 or 15 grueling rounds in a competitive match. Your limitations are your limitations and your vunerabilities to certain styles aren't going to somehow be eliminated because you have a champion's heart.

Joe Frazier couldn't more than 7 rounds combined in 2 fights with George Foreman. I suppose he doesnt have a champion's heart.

Zab Judah's display of courage against Miguel Cotto eliminates the notion that he doesnt have heart. He has heart. He has courage. He doesnt have composure, and perhaps his stamina is average to below average but to say that he doesnt heart is almost slander...

We all know it does not translate to winning :patsch

Nelson showed true heart against Sanchez and he took a beating and got KTFO. Do you know why he took a beating towards the end ? because he kept trying to win.

Judah stopped trying to win against Cotto,Baldy,Mayweather and he tried to steal a win over Clottey by trying to get the fight stopped in his favour.

"Joe Frazier couldn't more than 7 rounds combined in 2 fights with George Foreman"

That is the most stoopid thing ive ever heard. Frazier COULD NOT go more then 7 with Foreman because of Foreman's punching power, not because he was reluctant to keep throwing. Ironically enough Joe got torn up BECAUSE he did something Judah does not do after a few rounds, he TRIED to win and got tore up because he was trying to win.

    Judah has not heart.

slick guys loki to fight guys who come forward. a lot of that trash talk is so they can fight there fight. but also, some ego comes into play when you win and win, but the ko numbers stay down. i was always jealous of a guy in my gym because his first 5 fights were ko's in the first minute. i always had to out work guys while he barley broke a sweat.

    Back peddle like a *****?

That requires good movement, flexibility, stamina and footwork to master properly. This is a very successful style in boxing, a style where defense comes first because that's how it's supposed to be. I enjoy all styles in boxing but can't stand dumbasses who downgrade certain styles when they clearly know nothing about them. Standing there flat footed and take punches to entertain people takes no skill, it's just a career that will be exciting for a while but end very soon which is a waste then people call them glass jaws.

A perfect example is Cotto when he said he won't hold because he has pride, then when he hit the canvas and was destroyed he was being labeled a quitter and a glass jaw joke. That's just one example out of MANY.

You want to tell me that all the Gold medalists coming out of the olympics are bitches?

Joe Frazier did not last more than 7 rounds combined with Joe Frazier. That is a statement of fact not speculation. The implication is that he has heart but it didnt make a difference in the outcome of the fight. There is nothing stupid about that.

Also in the first fight with Foreman given that it was only 2 rounds apart from getting up from the canvas he didnt do much else.

Zab Judah against those named opponents tried to win but he lost compusure. Against Cotto he continued late in the fight trying to turn the tables, was he successful- no. If he stopped throwing punches its because he was getting tired and needed to conserve his energy to withstand the pressure whille trying to find another angle or opening. Throwing caution to the wind, thats not heart thats just stupid.

Zab took a knee in the 10th or 11th round to buy himself time to clear his head so that he can be more effective. He wasn't trying to quit. He got up afterwards and gave it the old college try.

Against Mayweather and Baldomir he lost composure. He was hurt and therefore tenative. Mayweather's speed, accuracy and countering ability made him weary of taking UNECESSARY chances. Rather to try a more calculated approach. The operative word being try. Against Baldomir he was hurt unexpectadly and he tried to reassert himself but he needed to clear his head for a few rounds. Whats the point of getting knocked out just so some poster on a boxing website says you have heart. A better idea is to clear your head so that you can be more effective and increase your chances of winning.

Zab Judah if nothing else, has heart.

Don't forget Joan Guzman. Comes to the ring staring at his opponent like he's gonna murder him, then come fight time he's on his bicycle.
