You know, the aesthetically pleasing, smooth moving, defensively astute, efficient boxing stylist-types.

The Jose Napoles', Michael Nunns, Pernell Whitakers, Nicolino Locches, James Toneys, Ezzard Charles', Willie Peps, Emile Griffths and so on.

Who was the 'slickest'(/smoothest/silkiest) you've seen?

For being creative, Willie Pep & Jose Napoles get full marks.

For efficiency, Benny Leonard & Pernell Whitaker.

Duran. He would fient, slip, jab and counter, pivot, get inside, bang then get back up.

Kid Gavilan gets overlooked, but he was smooth.

    Benny Leonard, anyone?

Or does his pigmentation disqualify him?

That is about 4 of the maybe 11 or so fighters mentioned up to the point of your post. Almost 50 percent of the fighters mention a white pigment including Benny Leonard who was already mentioned before you enlightened us. The rest of the fighters make up to entire spectrum of color except for Asian which is very light.

My guess is that you are intelligent but, for some reason you refuse to show it, you'd rather insult us and yourself.

    Why?

(BTW, I am almost 100 percent I will get nothing but another out of context insulting...please prove me wrong. Check!)

    Yep.

You just hit the proverbial hammer on the nail. Throw in the anonymousness of the internet and we get these kind of post. All..the...time, without end, especially when the rest of us are trying to enjoy a good boxing discussion.

According to Wikipedia, Roberto's father Margarito DurĂ¡n Sanchez was from Arizona of Mexican descent. I guess he could be a black Mexican but, looking at Duran, nothing about his features looks African-Latin to me.

Not that any of this matters to who is the slickest boxer of all time.

In my time Migel Canto was nearly impossible to hit cleanly in his prime. Pep is another example, Salvador Sanchez, Tunney, Ali.

I would say the bitterness of a hangover and hasty expectations had something to do with it.

It was my bad. I didn't read the thread thoroughly and assumed that "slick" was going again to be code as it has so often been used. That is not the case here and I am an ass.

I know Duran's dad was in the military. I am not sure where I got the idea he was black. I read the Hands of Stone bio a couple years ago. Regardless, it doesn't matter if he was orange, he was very slick.

If he hasn't been mentioned, I will add Jose Napoles.
