Thanks to CAS, no thanks to AIBA https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2...v-stand-aiba-presidential-election-cas-boxing
Seems like if it is removed from the next Olympics, AIBA's existence is probably doomed. I hope Konakbayev can turn the tide.
Well that's the winter Olympics to be fair, there's only so many events you can do on ice and snow and at least with curling it's usually a fair result. Boxing only has itself to blame after countless years of corruption that has only gotten worse I guess this is what will kill the amateur game as we know it. Every country will pull their funding from boxing if it's not in the Olympics. Can't believe it's gotten to this point.
It's not ridiculous. Every Olympics we see blatant corruption. Gold medals are literally being bought off. The whole system is broken and they have nothing to replace it with. It takes a lot of coordination to pull of such an enormous event. And no one can step in on such short notice to replace the currently corrupt system.
That's like blizzy saying your mom has a wide vagina. Or slender saying you dont know your geography. Let that sink in
Lol they mention conlan’s loss to nikitin, but forget about Joshua’s journey to gold medal. Typical brits
Yeah they conveniently left that out. Though I personally only thought the Savon fight was a robbery the rest were genuinely close, but either way Joshua should of gone out in the first round.
Definitely. I also thought it was beyond stupid that the olympics were considering ditching wrestling - another one of the competitions truest events - at the last olympics. It's no doubt so they can bring in some other lame ass ****.
