This sheet makes me so ****ing angry . They want boxing and wrestling out , but there are 300 different competitions in swimming alone, and gay as$ sports like archery, badminton, fencing, equestrian, sailing will remain there.

Surely they can give up that awful and really camp walking race. That **** needs knocking on the head, compared to boxing it's such a stupid event.

It would be seriously gutted if it does get dumped though, i suppose I need to remember I'm a boxing fan here but boxing always felt like one the staple sports at the Olympics

I am glad you remember. As much as I like Anthony Joshua, he got "gifted" 2 incredibly dubious "wins" on the way to his gold medal. Anthony Ogogo also got a very dubious "win" to get his Olympic medal.

Unsurprising, the commentators made no mention of this. It was the most downright devilish, snivelling commentary I have ever heard; just watch for yourself.

EDIT: Also, before the final bout, AJ "beat" Erislandy Savon in one of the THEE worst decisions ever! What a disgusting Robbery that was. Take a look.

So the thread is about how Boxing may no longer be part of the summer Olympic games and your only contribution to the thread is to have a moan about Anthony Joshua who is just 1 of tens of thousands of fighters who have fought at the Olympics and who has no bearing on what the thread is about?

You didnt even state your feelings towards Boxing being removed from the games.

Wrestling is surely going to stay, I think boxing may end up staying too. Fencing is a cool sport, it is the closest thing to old school weapon on weapon combating that we have. Swimming is entertaining, but I agree with the rest of your post.

There's no point complaining that other sports you think are dumb are still in. There's no controversy about the men's 5km walking race.

The reason boxing is in this position is down to corruption plain and simple. It happens at all levels of the sport, amateur and professional, and the guy in charge of amateur boxing who replaced Dr Woo is shady and corrupt.

    The IOC has had enough.

In a way, I am sort of glad.

    A) I don't have to watch the Olympics at all any more.
    B) Every year it is one political screw job after another, anyway.
    C) Good fighters no longer have to waste our time by waiting to turn pro after the Olympics.
    D) Boxing has been around 5000 years and doesn't need the Olympics. The Olympics, however, is yet another cultural affectation that fewer and fewer people care about every four years.

    **** the Olympics.

Yep take out Wrestling and Boxing, two of the sports the original Olympians actually practiced but let’s keep horse dancing and synchronised swimming.

Lol competitive walking has to be one of the oddest looking sporting events, but I do give them some credit those elite walkers, walk faster than I can run! Can you imagine gently riding on your bike passing all the weekend joggers and then one of those guys walking past you lol.

I think a lot of Joshua fans have conveniently forgotten how one sided that fight was, Joshua was schooled by Savon wasn't even close. It's why I think Usyk is Joshua's biggest threat not Wilder, Fury or anyone else.

But I do think the Camerelle decision was close, it went to count back for a reason. It could of gone either way and so of course you'll have people say it was a robbery we get that in the pro game with every close fight or even not so close fight being called a robbery.

For what it is worth IOC members were at the recent events and were pleased with methods put in to try and control corruption/nationalism

They are trying to get rid of the past and install a new line of Beta sports, to go along with the new era of soyboys and femininity.
