Thinking of starting to work with this more on a daily basis but from doing it in the past, it just feels like it conditions your body more than actually helps you learn the technique of slipping(compared to sparring). Got a fight coming up in a couple weeks in three weeks so I'm looking for more ways to get focused.

Any advice or tips with the slip bag?

You mean the little bag that swings around and you practice your head movement with? If it's conditioning your body, you're putting far too much effort into it. Defensive movement should be effortless, not tire you out. Relax, stay loose - use a natural swagger or rythm that follows your steps. Hard to explain, something you should be asking a coach, who can give you feedback. Not something you can easily get advice from online. Although watching some youtube vids might help.

I see what your saying. I have a tendency to use a lot of energy, stay clenched so I'm constantly having to tell myself to relax. That tightness I think makes me use a lot more energy in being more pronounced with defense moves cause when I slip, I tend to go way down to clear more than one punch. I have a swagger but no bounce, as my coach clearly pointed out to me today so I have to work on that pronto.

I do go to my coach about pretty much everything but its good to hear advice from different places.
