Cotto's resume at 140lbs isn't bad at all either. He faced some stiff competition down there and he was weight drained towards the tail end of it. Cotto doesn't care about anyones opinion, he is taking care of business and thats all that matters.

He is a great fighter... Its excellent to see people finally paying him his dues... His victories over Malignaggi and Torres are also under rated IMO. He took big risks taking on tough, undefeated fighters. I would love to see him fight Margarito, Williams, Cintron, Clottey, Hatton, Forrest and Berto eventually.... The Mayweather fight is the one he both wants and needs though, espeically in regards to cementing his legacy.

Like I said, he's running out of competition.. I mean if he beats Margo, of course theres Floyd, but then who else? Paul Williams lost to Quintana and Cotto murdered him so no point really in that fight.. I'd say a fight with Clottey, but he could always go for Williams..

Can't believe that somebody is calling Cotto a coward?

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

. . . wait till somebody post that Cotto is gay.

The Floyd fanboyz are getting desperate because they are running out of bull**** excuses to cover up Mayfag's chicken act. :yep

It Basically took the sacrificial offering of an innocent little lamb like Alphonso Gomez to ***** slap all the ******s into reality because I guess it finally proved to the doubters that Miguel Cotto is in a league of boxers that are the best professional boxing has to offer in this decade:deal

Right . . . that's why he should fight Margo, Quintana, Paul Williams and Clottey.

Clean it up completely and leave no stones unturned . . . to force Mayfag to fight him or retire. :yep

Not really surprised that there was someone calling him a coward. It's not unusual for me to see ******s call professional fighters pussies, cowards, a *****, ect ect.

But back to the thread. Cotto is awesome :yep

I agree.. I actually wouldnt mind seeing him in a rematch with Malignaggi which I thought the first was a pretty good match.. I just would want to see if he could defeat him quicker or take him out without the match going all 12 rounds now.. Cintron would get pulverized so I highly doubt a Cintron/Cotto match would ever take place..

If Cotto beats Marg than he should rematch Quintana and take his belt away. If Floyd wants to come to the table he will come toward an undisputed champ. IF not, who cares, Cotto will be the man of this generation and does not need Floyd as much as Floyd needs him. The future is wide open for Cotto. He can move into 154 and do some damage.

Cotto has been fighting the upper tier for years. He deserves a shot at PBF right now. If he beats Margo then there really can't be any logical excuse. The guy is #2 at WW.

thats a tall order.....i think he just needs to win margo fight after that floyd...anything else means nothing....this fight needs to happen after the margo fight......BUT....i got a question....Margo is no slouch and Cotto could lose......What then?

Iask this because we are placing a lot of faith in Cotto but Margo is no slouch so if Margo wins then it becomes Margo vs Floyd is it still the same? Or does flod now need too fight both still?
