I honestly think Cotto is going to slaughter Margarito quite bad. And If I was Cotto I would do 1 of 2 things after Margarito. Go after the belt that Quintana has OR call out Hatton and try to steal Floyd Mayweather pay day. Either of the two options would leave Cotto in the best position to make Floyd want to fight Cotto.

Like I've posted over and over in this forum . . . you Floyd fan boyz can argue that Cotto can't beat PBF up to heavens . . . but bottom line and realistically he is running scared to fight the guy.

No more excuses boiii . . . live with it. The whole boxing world is pushing PBF to fight the right fight but what did he do? Announce retirement twice? And now he is fighting the big show.

He can't beat? Why don't we see it happen then? For one . . . I'm not saying that Cotto will beat Floyd . . . I want to see it happen . . . period. :yep

    Agreed

Cotto is taking on everybody, the mark of a true champion. If he gets past Margarito, he will have made a huge statement. All there would be left at 147 is Mayweather and the IBF, WBO champions.

:good I was thinking the same thing: beat Margarito in July, then Arum could offer Hatton a big payday. The fight would not only steal Mayweather's 2009 payday, but also increase Cotto's popularity because Hatton is a recognizable name.

This is ridiculous, especialy given that Floyd isn't willing to fight him, or the rest. Boxing is not fought on paper, so lets get real here. Floyd's days of not fighting Cotto and being given a pass are numbered. The public is becoming savy, and soon his number will be called if he wants to keep his #1 status.

good post....but y does floyd get the blame are u telling me its the champs job to issue the challenge? Or should the challenger and his team actually make offers or just settle for bullshyt passing the buck?

I like both Cotto and Hatton a lot. Which is why I wouldn't want to see this. Cotto hurts Hatton badly IMHO. But what you say would be a nice ****** wrench to BS plans.

What's more bull**** - Saying they're willing to make the fight or picking two guys you beat as your next two opponents. Neither of the FIRST fights meant anything - These two even less.

I hate seeing freakish talent wasted. If Money renamed himself "Legacy" he would have even more money and more respect.

Mayweather's already made it clear he wants money, not tough fights.

It didn't stop Floyd Zab - It sure wouldn't suprise me to see Cotto beat Hatton and still see Floyd fight Hatton. At all.

Exactly and not only that it would get under Floyd's skin like no other. This fight could be held in Yankee Stadium and be SOLD out for the mere fact that Every Rican in New York would get a ticket, and Hatton would probably bring 20k over seas. The stadium would sell out easy mode and the fight could be promoted as the war that it would be (while it lasts)

Omg I am so for this if it were to happen, Cotto take out Margo than steal Hatton and put on a HUGE show in New York. First it would require Hatton to be a gutsy ****er and accept the fight but I think for enough money he'd do it.

On the flip side, Floyd wouldn't have an opponent and would have to opt to either waiting or taking the belt that Quintana has which would split the belts 50/50 between Cotto and Floyd.

This would then be a good way to promote the fight since Floyd would be able to claim that Cotto is a bum that has only fed of "his victims":lol:. And by then Cotto would be better recognized and well -

    Its all history from there:hey

Can't push the fight rightnow because your boii is scheduled to fight the Big Show and DLH . . . let's see after De La Hoya if he is retiring again.

BTW . . . this is not only against Cotto . . . he also refused Margo. :hey :yep
