He never seen a fighter like Floyd ... he doesn't know what its like to fight a fighter like Floyd.

He can't get a sparring partner w/ a quarter of the skills Floyd has ...

Cotto hasn't done anything but look impressive against "safe" guys ... he has yet to beat or dethrone a champion ...

Floyd fought the champion(s) ... Baldomir & Judah for their titles ... Cotto hasn't done that ... he also beat the true former WBA WW champion in Hatton and knocked him out. Don't talk about that weight difference when Hatton is naturally bigger than Floyd.

So how does Cotto get so much credit for not beating a reigning champion? How is he cleaning up the division fighting Alfonzo Gomez.

Who is of course, the guy you picked to beat him.

The rest of your post I won't respond to. Now that I have proven that there is a top contender, you move into trying to denegrate him in other ways. I see that you lack the charachter to be honest in debate.

Sorry, but you have been disqualified.

You're overlooking these guys accomplishments ... no matter what the talent level was ... these guys that Floyd fought were accomplished.

These guys were champions and were reigning or vacated a belt before they fought Floyd. No one has done that against Cotto ... Cotto fought for a vacant belt and it was against a guy who never had a championship fight before. You have to keep in mind what level Floyd is on ... he wouldn't have fought Baldomir if he wasn't the lineal/ring/WBC champion ... he wouldn't have fought Mitchell if he wasn't a solid guy who won a championship before and had only lost 2 fights in the last 7yrs (by the way mitchell was his WW tune up)

I don't get what you're saying when you say he's keeping the championship hostage. How the **** did he get the title in the first place?

He beat the champion of the division ... you discrediting this guy because of what? ... I don't give a **** about Baldomir's skill set ... he beat Zab Judah when no one had a clue who the **** he was.

Judah gets sooo much credit for losing to Cotto but not Floyd ... when he fought Cotto he was inactive for 400+ days ... and he was coming off 2 UD losses w/ a bull**** tune up that lasted 1 round and ended in a NC.

Come one now ... if you take a deeper look at his resume ... he hasn't accomplished anything ... if anything Cotto's getting built up to be the sacraficial lamb for PBF. He's the face of HBO sports and has been consistantly fighting champions.

You think that Cotto will fight DLH at 154 w/o a tune up? ...

I agree...If people wana go there lets be real....Gomez and Oktay Urkal were no real threats....Baldoimr will never be an ATG but he was the world recognized champion and Judah was the prior undisputed champion....whereas he was 0-2 1NC going into the Cotto fight. Hatton was/is a true world champion and is the man at 140 and held the same belt Cotto has in his possession by beating the titlist, not fighting for a vacant title. these guys are amazing

On the pure fact that Cotto was looking ahead of him ... I never gave you a break down besides the fact that I thought that Cotto would abandon his boxing and would slug it out and get caught by some bull****.

I never gave him credit for deserving a fight - but did see a live underdog in Gomez.

Cotto doesn't have enough skills to beat Mayweather ... I'd be surprised if he lasts the distance.

People keep looking at his physical attributes and thinking that he can match up against Floyd by comparing phyiscally. Thats not even close ... he's not as smart in the ring ... he's not skilled ... his chin is suspect ... its very hard to hit Floyd and you never seen Floyd overwhelmed by an opponent ... he's never been knocked down.

Floyd has a solid chin ... and has the edge on Cotto in the chin factor ...

Cotto can't cut off the ring - because Floyd is comfortable in every inch of the ring and will use Cotto's aggression against him.

You guys don't see the obvious difference in talent? ... I don't care how strong Cotto is or appears to be ... he can't do anything effective and is no different from other guys that Floyd had fought before ...

Floyd is a special talent and doesn't come around that often ... Cotto is a carbon copy of guys out there right now ... he's no different from anyone.
