If Cotto is so intent on cleaning out WW, why in the hell did he fight Gomez instead of Clottey, who is begging for a fight with the top guys?

I believe Zab actually knocked Floyd down, but they didn't call it as such.

Floyd never even fights the same every fight ... all his fights you see something new and different ... you can't go to fight footage a find something consistance besides his defensive stance.

Whats your point? He shouldn't fight him cause he'd beat him?

Given the kind of money we're talking about...he'd fight him in a heart beat. DLH was great in his prime, but he's past it now. Now he's just big money, marginal risk, for the likes of Cotto and PBF. Hell, even if he lost, it would easily be the biggest payday of his career.

    again whats your point?

we are talking about floyd fighting a deserving opponent..not how good floyd is.

DLH isn't safe for Cotto ... he would be a legit threat and wouldn't let up on Cotto if he had him on ***** street and DLH can recognize that better that Mosley did.

His dad was telling him that Cotto was hurt and attack ... by the time that Mosley realized it during the fight ... the lead was big enough for Cotto to not take the risk and box his way to victory.

Bro, One thing is to appreciate a skill another thing is to be a blind fanatic. All true hard core boxing fans like the ones you will find here will agree that PBF has one of the greatest skills ever. However, at this point in his career when normally, all boxers want to fight the best of the best we see Floyd making fights that are not interesting to the hardcore fan like a ODLH II or a possible fight with Hatton again.

Boxing fans love and appreciate fighters not gold diggers. For example... That's why we love Tito Trinidad... This guy was one dimensional thru his entire career (but my God, what a dimension it was) but despite that he always wanted to fight the best of the best, period.

I think that a fight between PBF and Cotto will happen in 2009. We all need to just pray for Cotto to keep winning as he has so far and for Floyd to mature and to stop making excuses for not taking on the true WW as Cotto has been doing so far.

I know that you are Floyd's fan and you will see what you want to see but you can't deny that TODAY a fight between PBF and Cotto is far more interesting and will get more people to see it in comparison to a ODLH II or a Hatton II. At this point we can all agree that Cotto will give Floyd a much better competition (the one that could beat him which I believe in) than this two guys.

    BINGO!!!

Floyd shouldn't be fighting for money anymore, he has enough, he should be fighting for his legacy. And it just so happens if he takes on the best of the WW division, he'd up getting both. Certainly, if Cotto wins in July, a Cotto - PBF fight would be a mega $$ fight for both fighters, and it's the best fight out there for PBF in terms of legacy fights.
