Primetime are going to be showing Slyvia/Pudzianowski on Friday May 21st. I'm guessing it's going to be a £5.95 PPV. http://www.fightersonlymagazine.co.uk/news/viewarticle.php?id=4365 £5.95 is what they charged for Abraham/Dirrell fight. I think Kessler/Ward was £5.95 as well; I'm not sure though as on the day of that fight I got really drunk and forgot about it. A couple of other fights have cost £9.95, the last Klitschko one for instance. The Froch/Kessler fight last Saturday was £14.95. Froch is the station's main property though and the Sylvia fight will be nowhere near that price. If Primetime are going to show some of the secondary MMA events as cheap PPVs then that would please me greatly. The one I really want to watch on a 48 inch TV as opposed to a computer screen is Thomas/Mayorga. I won't get my hopes up about that one though.
lol.atsch As if they are going to actual show a telletubbies marathon instead. I think any MMA fan who pays for this fight knows what they are buying.
Damn! Really disappointed. When I heard they were putting on some MMA in May I was hoping for something better, like Strikforce: Heavy Artillery. I'd pay for that card. This is a piece of ****!
I'd pay a couple of pennies to see a former UFC champ batter the worlds strongest man...its not THAT bad
This card is in Worcester, MA! That's only a 45 minute train ride from Boston. The question is, is this: Offical Fight card * Super Heavyweight bout: Tim Sylvia vs. Mariusz Pudzianowski * Heavyweight bout: Mu Bae Choi vs. Travis Wiuff * Middleweight bout: Travis Lutter vs. Rafael Natal * Lightweight bout: Yves Edwards vs. Mike Campbell * Light Heavyweight bout: Jae Young Kim vs. Lukasz Jurkowski * Welterweight bout: Matt Lee vs. Brett Oteri * Welterweight bout: Raugh Johnson vs. Forrest Petz * Heavyweight bout: Pat Bennett vs. Stipe Miocic * Super Heavyweight bout: Eric Esch vs. Lyndon Byers worth these prices? $150.75, $75.75, $55.75, $35.75 Limited Front Row Seats: $250.75 ...plus $18 roundtrip fare? :think Bellator 17 is the same week, a ten minute subway ride away, for the same prices in a more intimate venue (meaning no nosebleeds). It sounds entertaining, but both would be a bit of a financial misstep for someone on unemployment...and nothing on the Moosin card rivals Huerta vs. Curran.
I'll be surprised. I don't have full faith in Pudz to win the match (only seeing him once), but I've seen Sylvia plenty, and I'm not all that impressed. I really doubt he gets battered though...Unless he jumps on Sylvia like a hurricane, tires the hell out, and then is a walking corpse.
I resent the notion that a fight is only worth paying for if it showcases the highest caliber skills in the world. I'd pay for Gatti Ward 1000 times before I paid for Mayweather-Baldomir once.
