Just seen on Twitter that he is out of surgery and on a ventilator. He is stable but still in intensive care.

Boxers that are getting KO'd at that level should take note of this. It's great he loves the sport and it is very sad that this should happen. I've obviously never agreed with those who call for boxing to be banned, but there should be some rule that stops boxers who get heavy defeats often (not saying this is the case with Johnjo) from holding a licence, until proving their health (not saying their was a problem with Johnjo's health).

I, of course, appreciate that this type of incident can occur in one bout. Such a shame, fighters want to fight and are too brave for their own good, sometimes.

    Best wishes

Was there last night (supporting Ryan) and it was clear from the moment the shot landed it was a nasty knockout. From what I could see it didn't seem like the medical staff acted fast enough and I couldn't see any oxygen. Not saying there wasn't any but I couldn't see it. They were frantically waving towels at him to cool him down but he was on his back for like 15 mins in the ring before they stretchered him off. Usually when guys get dropped hard they are sitting up or standing within 2-3 mins but it was cear after that time he needed to be rushed to hospital. Really hope the kid pulls through and recovers. Never nce to see and I know Ryan feels terrible.
