Wlad's jab is one of the best in history.

 

If the best version of Wlad (Steward) pulls a Bonecrusher/Douglas, where he utilizes the jab/right cross to contol distance and ties him up inside, he has a chance. But honestly, with Tyson's handspeed and combinations, I would put my money on him but not by much.

Regarding Marciano, yes, I think I take him over every sub-200 lber over 15 rounds. And I've thought of all the options and some are very close and sway me occasionally. Just over 200 you have a more prime version of Louis, Frazier, Ali, Holmes... then it gets far trickier.

Height wise id say Tyson and id give Fraizer a good shot too.

HOlyfield wasnt a big heavy and he beats Klitchko. Today none of the heavys except his brother could beat him.

For the reason that does not penetrate your skull no matter how mny times it is stated, style match ups ...

At 6'1 with a 78" reach, the lightning fast starting Dempsey crushed many giants such as Fulton, Morris and Willard .. the 5"11" Marciano with his 67" reach wore down cruiserweights ... I have seen zero actual footage that shows me he could overcome such huge disadvantages ..

Langford had fits with much taller heavyweights that boxed him ... he initally had trouble with McVey's jab ... Fulton gave him fits and then there was , of course, Wills ... give Langford a man coming at him and he'd destroy tham which is why I pick him over Dempsey or Marciano at heavyweight. However, I see Wlad simply having the style to outbox him ..

 

Go and unlish your frustration somewhere else ok? Or just point out why Hopkins and Adamek don't have a chance against Wlad.

 

he gets the job done but wlad likes all the advantages. he wont exchange and he has to control the pace. wlad is content to control a guy within his comfort zone but utterly falls to peices outside of this comfort zone. the record shows he has struggled against smaller guys who dictated the pace. great fighters dont panic.

obviously wlad is a good boxer he and his brother are the best today, but its basicly one game plan. isolate the smaller guy center ring, jab and poke him from range until he quits. there is no honour in pulling wings off an insect. a durable, feisty buzsaw would drain him but there isnt many at "superheavyweight" just a few big guys who dont like traveling to germany with less wind than the klitchkos.

 

That much that I don't ask posters "how much do you know about the sport" like I was alfa & omega of wisdom.

Some time ago when Hopkins beat Tarver and Pavlik I heard many voices on ESB suggesting that B-Hop should move to HW and face Wladimir. I don't say that Hopkins beats Wlad but aside Adamek who has more than minimum chance to do that? (from "small" fighters for this topic).

Now stop dissing me and refresh your memory about posts of B-Hop in HW. I see Nard's chances against Wlad as 90 to 10 and Adamek 80 to 20. But if you state that someone doesn't have a slight chance against any fighter in the ring you should ask your question "how much do you know about the sport?" to yourself. Cheers.
