Leonard was one the best finishers ever. No doubt.

Lalonde looked pretty good in some of those highlights how good was he? what did he do after that Leonard loss

    examples of smelling blood

JMM stopping a cut Juan Diaz

    Margarito Cintron 2

Matt Godfrey vs Emmanuel Nwodo, a wild FNF Nwodo was ahead early and then Godfrey busted his nose and finished him

SRL was always a great finisher. In some fights Ray moved a lot and used the whole ring. Consequently he acquired an undeserved rep as a "runner." The truth is Ray was one of the finest pure boxer-punchers in history.

Leonard was incredible at adapting his style. He could literally do everything at a high level, including "running", which I think is a bit harsh from his critics. There isn't any other boxer in history who could adapt to a style like he could, I don't think.

And IIRC FMJ told him to his face that he would have beat him. And SRL said you don't really mean that? And FMJ said something insulting and that he knows he would have beat him, and SRL walked away in disgust.

It's no wonder Mayweather Sr. wasn't fazed by Zelenoff. He raised Mayweather Jr., who is an infinitely more talented of Zelenoff but, sadly, with the same mentality.

You forgot the asterisk in the Rockgloves vs. Cintron II fight.

The mentality to literally never break down in a fight no matter the circumstances?
