Should this be considered when weighing ATG lists and such? I know many discount boxers who have tested positive for steroids, or who they even suspect of using them, and those who gain massive weight by IV between the weigh-in and the first bell.

But isn't this also something that enhanced performance? How should it be considered as a factor?

Smelling salts might have bailed Ali out vs. Cooper in their first match. They were illegal in British boxing at the time of the fight, but the crafty Dundee pulled them out to revive Ali. When Ali came to, his eyes looked like pinballs.

I don't view them as enhanced performance tools, but some may.
