    Its not the lisp.

He's far too verbose to do the blow by blow commentary. You have a short amount of time to get your points across, Eubank has never been able to do that. He speaks slowly, pauses mid sentence and rambles, he'd make an awful commentator.

I thought Watt did a good job last night. In fact, I really enjoyed the commentary. Maidana DID look like he was going to quit in the first. And Khan did sag right at the end of the tenth - **** sake, Roach said he thought about stopping it!

That was one of Watt's better nights. Some people just like to complain.

I fell asleep before the fight came on, watched a copy of the HBO broadcast this morning and the commentary was OK overall although they seemed a little negative about Khan. RJJ needs to be there full time again and that senile clown Merchant has to go. From what I saw of Sky last night it wasn't too bad, Rawling was OK but repeatedly calling McKenzie a concussive puncher was annoying.

He had Khan up by 6 points! I don't really like to criticise too much but he is pretty bad and has been for a while now.

watt is a bit of a dick at times, even if he was a world champ,it doesn't matter,he was shocking last night.:patsch
one second he is saying "khan doesn't want to be fighting this way"
after knockdown "this is exactly what khan should be doing",:huh
it went this way all through the fight, terrible:deal

Fair enough bud. TBH I know good commentary can add to the fight but, for me, bad commentary doesn't take away from it. I either zone it out or I just disagree with whats being said.

I had no problem with the commentary. They are a bit biased but other then that I have no issues and who cannot love the classic "arrum punches" line.

He's not a judge, so his scorecard doesn't really matter. I thought his commentary was good - he explained what Khan was doing wrong, and he explained why Maidana was struggling.

He makes mistakes, he can be bad, but no worse than the US commentators. ****ing Jim Lampley sometimes seems like he's watching a completely diifferent fight too the one on-screen.

If he's not supposed to be judging it what's the point putting up his scorecard? Why not put a completely random one up or one where Khan won all of the rounds?

I agree he's not much worse than many others though. I guess the whole nature of scoring is subjective and it's a really difficult job to do as well as commentating at the same time

Why don't you make a list of the guys who are great commentators?
Do you think its an easy job to do?
