They were dazzled in the first few rounds. Think Merchant said something along the lines of "We have never seen someone treat Maidana like Khan did in the first couple rounds.

Roy was getting a bit mad with the uppercuts that kept getting through Khans guard :yep, all the team were also surprised how Khan completely neglected the body work after nearly stopping him in the first. Roy was loving the fight though...lots of "ooohs" when Khan and Maidana got tagged

I think they were equally shocked that Khan was still standing in the 10th.

Merchant was useless for most of it, hardly spoke. Would have preferred Kellerman on it.

Nah, they all though Khan won. Lederman had it at least 114-111 Khan.

    cheers mate.

Larry getting more and more quiet during fights. I can imagine one day you just hear him snoring on mic while fights going on. He talks ****ing ages to finish words now and when he actually talking about something he giggles before he says it. Guys losing plot .

Now that it's all said and done, do you think khan's reputation has been enhanced from this performance? I don't know how to feel as I thought he would make this a lot lo easier than it was.

I don't know but I'm trying to find out. Shazam won't work because Rawling keeps talking over it.

    Any ideas anyone?

Generally speaking...Khan just seemed a lot more in control of the fight, whereas with the sky it was like Khan was fighting a lot more recklessly than he actually was. Everytime Maidana landed a punch from round 1 Darke would be shouting: "OMG MAIDANA JUST PUNCHED KHAN, IS HE OKAY?", while over at HBO the commentators were just talking like if it was a regular fight. It made it a much more tense and exciting fight, but I think it was a little over dramatised.

Round 1 for example, when I saw it live with Sky I thought Maidana had Khan in trouble until the KD. Watching it with HBO, it seemed like a near perfect round from Khan even before the KD.

HBO never call the punches of the non favoured fighter. It's in HBOs interest to make Khan look good. They do it time and time again. Sky was better on the night, I've watched both. Jones Jr was great on HBO though.
