Must admit Jared i watched the Sky repeat earlier this evening and watched round 1 and your right Smith did over dramatize the situation. I think that's the major difference between out commentators and U.S. Ours get attached to the fighters for various reason's where as U.S guys are more relaxed because they seen it all before. Were a tribal nation you only have to see the way our fans travel to support fighters etc.

Am i the only one that enjoys that passion though?

I always get the feeling with American commentary in general whilst probably technically much better describing whats happening in the ring it seems devoid of that get up of the sofa and shout factor

    Maybe its just me.....

No i enjoy it to. But sometimes it doesn't actually give a true reflection of a fight.

There's a balance sometimes, some nights they get it and some nights they don't. It happens in any profession.

The U.S get it wrong as well. Like Katsidis-Marquez. Horrible commentary for that fight. It was like ''Oh this is only World Championship boxing....save our voices for next PPV''. Far to much chatting and compubox stats.

I think Showtime's the best atm for me. Tarver/Bernstein and the 3rd man they choose.

I don't like Smith and Watt that much but i enjoyed the emotions last night. Darke i grew up with...he got me hyped for fights.

Not at all, given Khan's history, the Sky commentary last night echoed my feelings at any given point.

I thought they got it spot on, first round included.

I suppose it depends entirely on the circumstances and what you want some people want the commentary team to give an impartial description of what's going on and analysis.

Maybe its being a Brit or just me personally but i want to be whipped up into a frenzy i want that sense of urgency obviously its not possible in all fights but i want the commentary to be from the perspective of a very knowledgeable but passionate fan.

I know it's a bit late but I just want to point out that ADAM SMITH was commentating, not the great Ian Darke.

Smith is absolutely awful I agree.
