aI think Macklin's power definitely gets overrated after the asaikinen win, he's getting worse and worse atm.

 

I haven't watched it, but I take back calling Macklin world-level. Not enough world-level in a weak division.

 

Exactly right. Think he will get his title shot. After he losses to either Martinez, Sturm or even Pavlik (of he can make middleweight), we'll see him return to Euro level and stay there. Fact is, he isn't that good.

I always said Barker would beat him, and I've seen nothing in his last two fights to suggest otherwise

His last two displays have been far from world class. He's beaten two guys on back end of careers and i think it's gone a bit to Macklin's head. He said that Varon rolled with the punches to take power off. Matthew that's what fighters do at world class level pal!
