    Round 7...lovely stuff from DeGale, creates a bit of distance and gets his punches off. All behind that southpaw jab. Let's not forget DeGale is only an 8 fight novice. Smith caught square on by a jab wading in! The Liverpudlian is looking a bit confused. He doesn't know what to do here, the right hands aren't getting through anymore for him and DeGale's speed is troubling. DeGale hits the deck but obviously a slip.

    Another DeGale round. Smith's best hope is DeGale gassing. 6-1 DeGale.

    Round 8...DeGale goes orthdox, throws a jab and switches back. Straight punches in bunches getting through for DeGale. Smith is confused, befuddled. Throws a right hook but DeGale sees it coming and easily ducks under it. DeGale lands a big uppercut and Rawling gets a stiffy over it!! Smith is on the backfoot looking for non-existent openings.
