totally meaningless as the discrepancy in talent is profound.

Agreed. Smigga is one of the most prodigious eating talents since Kobayashi whilst Andre's potential is seriously limited by his religious views on gluttony.

So in his last fight, Ward fought a Light Heavyweight while he came in as a Super Middleweight. Now he's fighting a Cruiserweight while he's coming in as a Light Heavyweight. Sad stuff.

lol...so much for the rumor that ward was "so much bigger" than smith. Dude can't even make an agreed upon weight that he had months to prepare for....a88clown.

Smith didn't look soft. He looked like a man that was being sent to the slaughter but deciding to fight back.

I hope he came in his optimal weight and saved all his energy. ALL catchweight *****es must burn.

I kind of think this is hilarious. Ward will have a great reason to get on his self-righteous soapbox and talk about professionalism without a hint of irony having sat out for like 2 years and meanwhile Paul Smith will just be like fuggit I'm getting my ass beat anyway, might as well eat some food.

It's a shame Smith didn't come in at 175 and say "**** your catchweight, this fight is at LHW".

That would have been far more appropriate and good for the sport. With Smith being dragged up from 168 as a guy who prob should have been fighting at 160, I wonder whether they bothered to put weight penalties into the contract. Few would have predicted this.

Just tells you people who gave out about Ward having a catch weight are dummies as there was no way Smith would make 168. This is probably his more natural weight and we're likely to see a better Smith than the one we saw against Abraham. Doesn't matter much though when you're fighting the most unbeatable man in Boxing.

Shame on Andre for missing the 172 lb minimum.

It's absolutely disgusting but given that this fight is pretty much an exhibition match anyway I could really give less of a ****. Ward is going to toy with him 4 pounds over or not.
