Still wouldn't mind Lindsay/Simpson II, first fight was terrific.

What's this talk about Simpson having a world title shot lined up?

what about all the holding in the first 3/4 rounds from simpson.

it was a close fight, ruined by a shocking scorecard, IMO smith won a very close fight with some hard rounds to score.

Fair play to smith, he's only in his 12th fight

They are undressing him on live TV! Take his gloves off and let him do it himself. :)

i try never to score a 10-10 and 10-8 without a knockdown and without him absolute pounding him for 3mis he only hurt him with 1 punch

Who is right lads? Us or the ex-pro's? Serious question.

They've all scored it 4-4-4 :rofl

If O'Conner favoured Smith then he'd be more inclined to give him the close rounds hence the 118 scorecard.

Sounded to me like he was trying to somehow justify O'Conner's scorecard

Exactly. I don't see him coming back.

Pretty sure i remember being told he was on way out of Boxing after a previous loss. Not sure if it was Appleby fight. He's getting disillusioned with it all.

That style of fighting happens in a lot of fights, esp when fighters are tired, with no deductions.

1 point would have been harsh, 2 would have been ridiculous. We'd have DQs in every hard fight as fighters cliched and leaned on.

    Agree with that :good

Credit to both guys anyway tonight. I thought Simpson just about edged it. Fair play to Smith for another coming through another tough fight and shame on Terry O'Connor for once again a shocking scorecard.

And thanks to all on here for more good discussion in a RbR thread :deal Night all!

    McCrory

"He's not read for world level not when there's fighters like *(thinks of world class feather, can't think of one)* a lot of quality fighters up there.

He has been robbed so many times. Smith x2, Matthews etc Just look at his record and its littered with close losses that went the wrong way.

I think they don't score his aggressive, stalking, grinding style. He needs to start using more 1-2s just so it is cleaner work for thick amateur (literally) judges to score.
