That's a very long time off, especially considering how long this fight has been in pipeline.

By September 9th, Smith will have been out of the ring for nearly a year.

Wonder if he'll do what Beefy did prior to the Williams fight and have a bout between now and September to get back out under the lights?

"It's on. Callum Smith signs to fight for the WBC super-middleweight title v Anthony Dirrell," Joe Gallagher said.

Time to see what Smith is made of. He is up against a very good awkward operator something smith hasnt come close to facing yet.

Very true mate. I really rate Callum Smith and believe he has the potential to win a world title at Super middle, Light heavy and maybe even cruiserweight towards the latter of his career.
He still has plenty to learn though and is guilty of coasting through easy fights, however he has power and is a devastating finisher.

Wooooooooo! Been waiting for confirmation of this for weeks. Big step up for Smith but he's got the power to trouble anybody at 168, think he'd be wise to have a tune up soon though. Who's available right now?
