Orite lads dont know if this has been donr been "away" for a while but after seeing George Grove struggle with his first real opponent saturday, does anyone think DeGale will aswell?

Groves did come back well, after looking like bambi on ice for a while

But lets have it right Smith IMHO is a tougher guy than Groves's guy has more experiance and is fighting in Liverpool infront of his own crowd

Is it just me or can other people see an upset on the cards here???????

Smith won't crumble under the pressure like Dilks, I can see DeGale really struggle in the late rounds if it get's that far. It's a wicked fight but it may have come a bit too soon for James. If he can clearly beat Smith in his own backyard I'll be very impressed though.

You watch Degale shine in this fight.

He'll take it between rounds 6-8 imho.

He'll put a beating on paul, proper tko business.

Nah I think DeGale will hammer him. Groves was stopped in the amateurs whereas the word is DeGale has a hell of a chin, and this will be the fight to prove or disprove that.

If DeGale doesn´t gas or have a glass chin how will Smith win? He has nothing on a boxing or physical level to compete.

I think Smith is as tough as old boots and if his fight strategy is to have a war with Degale then Chunky will box the ears off him...:yep

If he tries to box Chunky, he will be too exposed and open...:yep

Degale wins this by wide UD if he chooses to box...:yep

If Smith comes out for a war he will get stopped on cuts with crisp, accurate punching from the Chunkster...:deal

degale is franks new golden boy, no way would he put him in here if he thought he couldnt handle it. hes seen smith fight plenty, hes too slow and messy to win

degale with a clear UD. smith will do ok, but i see degale by about 5 rounds as long as he doesnt tire. we all know smith aint body beautiful but hes shown he can last the 12 rounds for sure

Yeah Smith doesnt do anything realy great, but he doesnt do anything very badly he's just a solid British title level fighter, maybe European, but at world level would be exposed,

I think this is where Chunks is going and although only on his way up i think is to fast and slick for smith and will where him down and stop him maybe referee stoppage or towel cant see smith quiting himself

I'd also back DeGale to take out Groves now aswell, DeGale wont let him off the Hook when he catches him as the scot did and he will catch him no doubt

Still have that feeling though there coud be an upset not likely but its there, gonna be a great fight though i'm sure, and was looking forward to this far more than to Haye Fraudly mind you i had money on KO rnd 3 so wasnt to bad

Smith has underrated boxing skills people havent seen them because of the awful clash of style with Quigley and the awful clash of heads with Dodson.

Smith can box and he can brawl undoubtedly he will try and do a bit of both setting traps for Chunky. Chunky will most likely box and move all night if he can if he gets cocky Smith will whack him he will need 100% concentration for this fight. if the ref lets Smith rough him up on the inside it will be interesting to see how Degale does past halfway.

Smith could get stopped on cuts but i dont think degale has the power to truely trouble Smith who has a good chin and could walk through Degale if he gets too cocky.

My predicition though is a tough fight with a close decision going to Degale
