Smith vs Ryder - Predictions!

Just watched him and he looks dead at the weight to me. When he gets knocked out he will blame it on having to make the SMW limit and move up to LHW (where he belongs).

You can see the bones in his spin popping out as he bends over. That isn’t at all healthy.

 

I think the over of 7.5 is the best value bet

7-12 would be my pick for when the KO occurs

 

I think he wants a unification fight at SMW if he cant get Canelo. If BJS cant get Canelo next I would like to see the two of them fight each other in a unification fight then for Smith to move up. Weirdly enough he would likely be the biggest out of the top 175ib fighters aa well.

 

Ryder by ko rounds 8-10. Smith will have some success with right hands and his tight guard will keep him safe for a while. Expect Ryder to land chopping hooks found the guard and probably hurt Smith with a equilibrium shot behind the ear or round the back of the head leading to the stoppage.

 

I rate Ryder. I think he was unfairly on the losing side against Arnfield and Fielding. He seems like a great fella as well, and I'll be hoping he wins.

Not much rocket science here but I think Smith may be simply too big. Too much fire power.

Also, is Callum listing of 6'3 even accurate? I think he's even taller.

I think Smith has a solid chin on him. If I was a trainer I would be telling my fighter to work the body. It’s just not easy though because he steps back out of range very quickly, uses his jab so well and to top it off it’s ironically it’s his inside game which is probably his strongest asset.

Smith always looks drawn to me. He always will being 12 foot tall and super middle won't he?

Nice call. SMW seems a great weight for Ryder. Very strong and fit at the weight. Moving his head more now as well. He used to defend with his head. Hope he gets another opportunity.
