I think he's the best out there. :good BTW, Smoger would never tell Peter "nice jab" cause Sam has no idea what it is!
Look I know you are partial to the point of being impossible to reason with, but let's review some facts about the big guy here, ok? 1995 - Andrew Golota, being troubled by some big punches from a heavyweight by the name of Samson Po'uha, decides to take a bite out of the Samoan's neck en route to stopping him in the 5th. Po'uah at this stage is notably exhausted. 1996 - Riddick Bowe suffers multiple low blows during a fight with Golota where he was absorbing many right hands and returning his own right hands. The low blows came about directly after Bowe had rocked Golota several times with clean effective blows. 1997 - Golota, after looking completely cold coming to the ring, is decked hard by Lennox Lewis within a minute of the first round. The knockout came from a right hand 1999 - Golota suffers yet another disappointing performance. While after hurting Michael Grant with a solid right hand, cannot finish the suspect fighter. Grant survives to land his own right hand consistently to trouble the Pole's weak mentality. Golota quits in the fight. 2000 - Golota quits again after taking a massive right hand from none other than Mike Tyson. Golota was so stiff that when the punch hit him it fractured his cheek bone and damaged some vertebrae in his neck. 2005 - Golota gets another first round mauling, this time at the hands of little known Lamon Brewster. The punches came about as Golota was stiff and unwilling to bend his knees or his back to avoid the punches. So he took them full force. Two quick left hooks later Golota was on the canvas. Now let's review. Golota apparently has been dropped and troubled multiple times in his career by right hands. And Sam has a dandy of a right hand. Similarily, Golota has had trouble with fighters who won't lay down from his best work. In the Bowe fights, the Po'uah fight, and the Grant fight. This is noteworthy because Sam would not go away easily and it's very likely the Pole's fragile mind loses it. Golota's finisher is the right hand. Nobody has ever dropped Sam Peter with a flush right hand that he saw coming. And there is nothing deceptive about the big Pole. I could see Golota eating a punch in the opening round to make him quit. Likely a stiff overhand right which he seems to be troubled by. In any case, he would not have an easy night with Sam Peter. He has a better chance against Waldo where his power early on might pull it out. He *may* be able to "Grant" Waldo.
Great analysis & alot of typing, but I don't think Golota quits anymore from a good shot. He's become too mentally tough. Plus, if he quits again, he'll have to face a toughter SOB than Peter will ever be... Mariola, his wife!:deal
Damn someone seems a bit concerned if you go to lenghths to write this. You do however make the Bowe fight come across as if Bowe were comming or even winning...not the case. And you did skip over the fights he had between the Tyson and Brewster bouts.
Golota should get the next shot at Peter instead of Vitaly Klitschko. Vitaly is making an already confusing situation even more untenable. Golota will show up and he'll come to fight. Vitaly should just stay retired and let active fighters like Golota get the opportunity.
