He should never put his hands on any fighter the way he put his hands on Murat. It was disgraceful from a referee

Smoger did more damage to Murat more than Hopkins did.

I usually like this ref, but he was on Murat´s case all night, and was lucky Murat never smacked him for laying his hands on him. It was a disgrace.

It was out of line. It was clear that he was frustrated with Murat for after the bell antics(which Hopkins was also guilty of btw). Murat tried to headbutt BHop after the final bell.

I thought Smoger was lenient in that fight towards Murat. Murat should been DQd for hitting a fighter on the ground. Smoger gave Murat the benefit of the doubt many times in that fight. Murat looked like the dirty Hopkins tonight.

He clearly, clearly was bias and he kissed Bhop after the fight. Never should he push a fighter across the face!!!!

I'll be honest, I kind of liked it from Murat. Showed he wasn't gonna be played with by Hopkins. Wasn't gonna let him just pull off all his tricks without there being some return fire.

Just a terrible job by the reff all night. Then the hug and kiss he gave bhop? Wtf is that! I mean if your a bhop fan then great! Then watch the fight as a fan on a seat and not reff the fight!

    great job by bhop!

    Reff needs to be suspended.

**** Murat. Low blow Murat, turning his back. Murat = garbage. **** him.

Smoger could have ended the fight 3 times alone in rd 12 for all that back turning.
Slow stiff Murat should thank God he got this one and only shot at glory.

Hopkins fights are never easy to referee. That said, I thought Smoger did a poor job tonight. It is true that the two most egregious offenses in this fight were both committed by Murat, hitting Hopkins when he was down, and hitting him on the break. And both fighters made his job difficult by turning their backs to their opponent upon receiving legal punches. All that said, Hopkins did his share of spoiling in the early rounds, which Smoger did nothing about. Then as the fight progressed, Smoger showed more and more obvious favouritism towards Hopkins, and disdain for Murat. But the single most terrible thing Smoger did was to put his hands on Murat's head to push him away, it was a move in which his contempt for Murat was obvious, and it 100% deserves professional censure, and possibly a suspension.

B-hop got the better of him. Everyone knows b-hop will use every dirty tatic, but he's the master of it. He does enough to get to his opponents n not over do it to get reprimanded for it. I give Murat credit for getting back, but for a guy not used to using these tatics he will get caught everytime. There were a few times the ref could have taken more points, but how could he with the type of fight they had from both sides. B-hop is the kid that gets the class worked up and when the teacher turns around he's sitting like a angel and you get caught and in trouble. It's best not to play his game it's the only way to win.
