You could say the same about Frazier CP ,at least Floyd actually kod Ingo ,remember that foot twitching?.Frazier's stoppages over top men were really grind down tkos.In honesty I would give the edge to Joe for power, just being devil's advocate.
No i agree, Frazier was not really a one-punch knockout artist, but relied on wearing his opponents down, unless he really outclassed them (like Manos and Zyglewic), but altogether, i think Frazier stopped / dropped bigger and better opponents than Patterson did.
Don't get me wrong, Frazier hits harder and is a complete mauler. But I think Pattersons left hook from underneath is harder to see, and it rocks your world.
Obviously Frazier is a much greater fighterthan Johansen and would be a strong favourite. I will say however that this is a bad match up for Frazier. Johansens right hand was more dangerous than Foremans and it is the gaps in Johansens technique that make him the underdog.
Frazier was very stylistically similar to Patterson (both quick, bobbing-and-weaving swarmers with big left hooks), but was bigger, stronger, more durable and more powerful. Johansson would have a puncher's chance, but more often than not, I would expect him to be mowed down without a titanic struggle against the likes of Joe.
Ingo had a wicked right hand that felled Eddie Machen in 1 rd but that is all he would have vs Smokin Joe, remember as washed up Joe got up 6 times vs Foreman, Joe could get rocked or dropped by INGO but in every other area Joe superior....A chop down Job withen 5 rds with SmokinJ by stop...Ingo had a punchers chance vs anyone but how long could he stay in the kitchen
