'Smokin' Joe Frazier (March 8, 1971) vs. 'The Brown Bomber' Joe Louis (Sept 24, 1935)

Let’s reawaken this chat. Like someone earlier said probably Louis early or Frazier late. If Frazier gets out of 3rd round without being beaten so he can’t recover then his pressure and workload begin to wear down Louis with result being Frazier increasingly in control leading to decision or late stoppage win. But if the 2nd Abe Simon bout Louis shows up they say 207 and hitting like a mule he could be dangerous for Frazier. If Quarry Chuvalo and Bonvena could hang in there toe to toe for 3 rounds before succumbing to the pressure quickness and sheer workload then sure Louis could. The only difference is Louis was better combination puncher and more accurate than those guys. Probably a little quicker hand speed and a little more power than any of those 3. With those edges Louis might be able to get the slow starting Frazier in trouble that could snowball and quickly lead to disaster for him like against Foreman.
