No, I said that Frazier would plunge straight ahead NO MATTER WHAT is coming at him, he couldn't and wouldn't do anything else. Frazier WASN'T shot for the third fight. Ali just thought he was and didn't come in as fully prepared as he should have been. imho. That's not a knock on Frazier's performance, it's a knock on Ali's preparation. You pretend you don't understand my point as well as a Republican dodging bullets from Chris Matthews lol
Frazier resorted to sticking and moving in the rematch with Foreman, actually out-boxing him early on. Proof that a past prime Frazier could in fact switch his game up. Not that it matters anyway, as pressuring would be the only useful tactic he'd need to imply on Lewis. Both Ali and Frazier were past their primes for the third fight.
Bernie4366, Frazier wasn't as hittable as you think as you would always have a price to pay if you punched down against him. His bobbing and weaving style made him hard to hit, even Ali said he was very hard to hit. Lewis would have to punch down against Frazier which would leave him open for the left hook as many fighters fell victim to it.
Frazier has more of a chance than alot of people are giving him. I'd say he could get inside Lennoxs jab and maybe pull off the KO win.
not exactly true but that never stopped you did it, also the chances of it landing are alot less than if smokign joe had a mosnter right cross or hook.:good
I said IF he landed it. I agree with you, odds are he doesn't. Look back a few pages, I picked Lewis. But IF Frazier gets his shot in, it's a whole different ballgame.
