    that was funny

    That guy was a bad representation of bare knuckle boxers

    He doesnt even look built like a fighter.

    I have seen docs and videos on real modern day bare knuckle fighters, and they know how to fight very well.

    gypsies always knew how to fight. they live hard, play hard and fight to the finish. Perhaps now more of them work out on the weights and might look physicaly more pleasing to the eye but The majority of bare knuckle fighters have been beer swilling beefcakes built like 1970's english wrestlers. Most of them will take up the chalenge when drunk and there is no age limit, they dont retire. ive met plenty of them in irish bars.

    This is a fascinating video that probably hasn't gotten fair discussion. It's true that Savage, after a world media tour including getting on the Letterman show, backed out of the tournament after watching the Bonecrusher sparring session with some mysterious elbow injury or something to that effect. Why he took this fight with no media coverage for what had to short money in some club in British Columbia against Bert Cooper of all people is the real mystery.

    Savage is still "working the marks" overseas and makes all sort of wild claims about losing a knuckle in fight, punking out Muhammad Ali in a hotel in England, and having more pro fights that he won all of. From the looks of this video, it's doubtful that he ever threw a punch in anger in his life. He looks completely inept with no balance, no form, no confidence, unlike Shaw and McLean and others I have been able to see on film.
    It would be great to get the real story on this guy.
