Will derail your training, I know it helps sometimes to relax and i am not against enjoying a joint. But if a young boxer is training hard he may sabatoge his training with pot. By this I mean it is proven that when you smoke it sends your lungs into spasms for about 24 hours, so you are not training at full capacity. This is not meant to be an anti pot smoking thread just a view, and I enjoy a joint every so often...but I am not training for fights and would'nt smoke if I was.

I dont know what to say but i smoked a g once by myself(the first and only time
I did it) like 3/4 of it out of an apple and was trippin
all night. I dont really think weed is bad but i dont do
It because i have to be my best performance at boxing. And also i felt lazy like the next two days. I WANT to smoke sometimes, but i just wont for the sake of boxing

Ive been vaping weed quite heavily for the past 2 weeks or so simply because of the novelty of buying a vapouriser.

As its off season atm and things are pretty lax I dont feel its no big deal, but one thing is for sure, the day after Ive gotten high, my reactions feel so much more sluggish in the ring, and if im doing cardio or fitness work I feel much more lethargic and have to push myself harder than usual.

Im definately cutting down to smoking like once a week from now on and only on weekends because for me personally it messes my reactions and reflexes up I feel.

Organic herb and Nicotiana isn’t actually that bad for the average person.

Dunno the technical side of the healing herb......... all I know is it made the little boy eat lots of protein.

    It’s the Arsenic that’s lethal.

Makes the cigarette burn faster at a cost.

If your serious about training...and are not nick diaz..don't smoke nothing or use any illicit drugs. Simple as that. You can tell how serious a fighter is by how they control their urges to go out and drink and smoke.

Michael Phelps can smoke all the ****ing weed he wants. He swims straight the **** forward. Fish are about the dumbest thing on the planet and they do that task just fine. You're a boxer. Unless you want to risk getting carried out on a ****ing gurney because your reactions were slowed you shouldn't ****ing smoke.

    Word.

But for us serious stoners, cooking is way too much work. And rolling is really fun.

And I still want to know more about lung spasms. I've never heard that. Seems like something you'd...notice?[/quote]The spasms are not similar to a large spasm attack just small ones in the lungs that diminish your capacity, don't smoke for a few weeks and train hard and you will notice. I am not being anti weed just put the thread out there as food for thought. Everything we put in our bodies effects us good and bad and also somewhere in the middle.
