meldrick taylor as well from the same team.

mark breland, albeit not great on the inside but still ticks most of the boxes.

Pernell is smooth, but he was so athletic and creative, I guess I was thinking of someone more traditional, more upright, like Finito Lopez, or Benitez.

a fighter with a flowing style/willing to let his hands go/not reliant on one hand or one punch/willing to stay in the pocket and slip and parry while firing back/nice balance/throws lots of technically correct punches/can fight of the back or front foot/comfertable from range and inside.

if this is a definition of a smooth boxer then i can consider penalosa as an example. and i believe that you cannot find this information in boxrec. you have to watch fights in order to identify a smooth boxer.

hey illmatic if you have a problem with us pinoys then you should not resort to labeling us as ignorant. if you have a problem with my opinion then go **** yourself. i despise obnoxious ****s like you

    dude really?

the dropping the hands thing got him into trouble alot, hes no where near as agile as RJJ

its hard to argue with that b/c rjj was incredible agile, but watch his fights against tom johnson and steve robinson at his very best. Johnson out of frustration throws a 12 punch combo and naseem makes every punch barely miss and ducks under laughing the entire time...dude had insane agility.

My apologies to everyone who already mentioned Sweet Pea. I didn't look at all the answers first. Hamed is not considered smooth, he was an awkward fighter. RJJ also falls under awkward, but I must say when he did box and used his jab, then thats when he was smooth. Ali was smooth.
