I think Jay Z's time is coming up. No fighters on his stable for long term success, and he knows **** about boxing. Plus, he's getting blacklisted big-time by Haymon. Ward isn't a big enough draw to rest an entire boxing venture behind and Cotto is not long for boxing. Also, 500K in debt sounds laughable with 50 Cent being worth way more. I'm assuming it'll only grow if he keeps the business? My major wasn't business in college, though.
How shocking? Did anyone not see this coming after him and Floyd parted ways? Being a boxing promoter is not a part time job. Only SMS Fif was ever talking about was his audio company. Whenever Fif brought one of his fighter's in for a interview they wouldn't even talk boxing. It was an afterthought. It was bound to fail and I'm glad it did.
No shock there.Writing has been on the wall from the get go. His fighters fought once every 18 months or so. Gamboa and Kirkland are now free agents. Interesting to see what happens
Dib, Kirkland, Dirrell and Gamboa all get messed about and beat. I hope Roc Nation fighter know that future not promise to be good.
This guy actually thought he'll get involved in the sport and easily make money. I'd rather not see part-timers who are also full-time musicians dominate the sport. If anything, it will make the sport look embarrassing.
50 Cent isn't even a part-time musician anymore. He's a full time social media troll (a decent one from what I've seen and heard, but still). He's acted in more movies than cut albums over the years. Busy filming "Escape Plan" and stuff. Boxing was a hobby that, ill-advised, he decided to invest in.
