SMW talk: Abraham to eventually get Kessler, Andre Dirrell looking to fight late May

    I didn't feel each point deserved its own thread, so here's a two-fold SMW thread.

    Makes sense if Abraham is gonna cash out fighting Kessler for the WBO title that Kessler will get out of the Stieglitz fight. Abraham is probably on his last run for a title, and a fight vs Kessler would be a huge money maker in Europe, a la Huck-Povetkin.

    Dirrell leaving Haymon was so damn stupid it's untrue. The perfect fight would of been Bika, to prove his mental toughness and get rounds in against an opponent with a decent name. Instead we're going to see a C class Middleweight who's forced to go up 8 rounds and get KO'd in 3 rounds.

    Kessler - Abraham,would sell but it hardly gets the pulse racing. Ward and Froch have already shown the world how to beat Abraham.

    Kessler can do an Andrade on Abraham. Danish crowd would appreciate, a LOT.

    Who the hell is Dirrell going to fight?


    Who can blame him. He's had a good career and now injuries are starting to take a toll. Get while you can, because there'll be some young guys to soon replace him. If Andre Ward did not exist, Kessler may very well be king of SMW's. I think he would be very competitive in a rematch, but I also think Ward will always be able to beat him.

    Dirrell really ****ed up dumping Haymon for uncle Lawson. Haymon could have started getting him some more fights on the networks but now he is going to end up fighting fans at county fairs. It's a shame with all of the talent he has.

    Kessler will be setting himself up to cash out nicely by beating Steiglitz and Abraham this year. That would set him up for either a Ward rematch (I think Ward takes that one with a wide decision again), a Froch rematch (great fight) or a showdown with Bute. He has a lot of options to finish his career nicely if his body can hold up.

    I never want to see Abraham fight again after that Froch fight. I'm done with him and Clottey.
