So about ring sizes (Canelo vs Sanders), do they really make any difference?

So going into the fight, ring size was a controversial topic. Apparently many (including Sanders) were of the belief that the ring size can give clear advantages to fighters. Do any of you belief it played any role in affecting how this fight turned out?

Many people say they had Sanders close in (or even winning) the fight up until the stoppage. How much did the 22ft ring size help Sanders in his performance? And what if Canelo had never agreed to it, or even made it smaller to say 18ft ring size,.....would you believe Sanders would still have performed just as good? Or would he have faired much worse?

No, Saunders didn`t realise he could stand and counter Canelo until he lost the first few rounds, the size of the ring meant nothing.

It helps. Firstly it helps in a literal sense. BJS literally had more real estate to move around. Secondly it helps psychologically. Being in a small ring can make you feel trapped, even if you wouldn’t use a larger space anyway.

Yeah I’d say so but it’s only gonna effect the outcome of the fight like 10% of the time. It’s only really a marginal advantage/disadvantage.
