for $24.95... Is anyone going to buy it? It also looks like as if Kessler vs. Häussler will be the main supporting bout...
Yes, but this is an American website and US fight fans are not able to watch German TV (except video live streams). So just for the US: who might buy this card?
My initial impulse is to say 'no chance'. But come fight night, if I don't have anything else to do, $24.95 isn't much to lay out. Of course, if there's even a remotely decent fight on cable, I'll pass on ppv.
Only fair that us Europeans get easy access to some fights that Americans don't, it's mostly the other way around.
Rumours say Berlin but IMO this would be absolute nonsense b/c it would mark the 3rd fightcard to happen in Berlin in a span of 1 1/2 month --- Valuev vs. Ruiz on Aug. 30 - Max-Schmeling-Hall (Abraham vs. Marquez on Oct. 4 - Max-Schmeling-Hall as well) Klitschko vs. Peter on Oct. 11 - O2 World (I'll be there :yep )
If it has both Abraham and Kessler, with a $24.95 price tag, I might consider it. However, this is the same night as the Gamboa/Ramirez, Angulo/Tsurkan, and potentially Julio/Martinez HBO BAD. So it's not as if there is a complete paucity of good televised fights. Indeed, that's one of my most anticipated cards of the fall.
I'm definitely getting it. Another strong showing by Abraham will put pressure on Pavlik to fight him.
The PPV will be on around 3-4 pm ET and the main event starts around 5 pm so there would be still plenty of time till HBO BAD - kinda like an appetizer...IMO it would be a real success if this makes more than 50,000 buys...
With as many highlights you could have for a hype reel.... I really wish Showtime would start marketing Abraham they way they should be. It's just stupid how lethargic they can be. This is on the same night as Tsurkan v Angulo... hot damn! I can't wait for that fight either.
