Kessler will fight winner of Hopkins-Wright at 175 and Mundine becomes No1 at 168.

    Oh Oz would love that.

The loser of Kessler-Calzaghe is still going to be rated higher than Mundine.

Not really the loses of kess calzaghe loses all his belts which means the winner becomes/remains WBA superchamp, the loser then has nothing and will therefore be rated lower than mundine.

Exactly. Not to mention that kessler WILL NOT KO CALZAGHE.

TBH I was originally on Kesslers side and thought he'd beat joe, but the more i think about it the more I feel Kess's style is perfectly suited to joe and would say he will win by UD.

Kessler wont really have a size advantage, which he has had till now, since joe is quite tall himself.

Anyone ever notice how whenever there's some negative publicity going around about Mundine (eg: torn bicep injury) Gay Gav has to jump on here and post loads of rubbish threads?

Anyone would think he's trying to distract from the truth!!! :yep

I agree with this, both have done far more than Mundine.

The loser may be damaged goods after the fight though, and that would increase Mundine's chances of winning against whoever loses.

Yeah Gav doing his nuthugging of Mundine again.
Any logical boxing fan knows that no matter what happens in Kessler vs Calzaghe they are both still ranked ahead of Mundine.
If anything the gap between Mundine & guys like Lacy, Bute, Berrio, Froch etc. is way closer than Mundine & Calzaghe/Kessler.

If Kess beats Joe....Kess will fight other champs leaving Mundine behind...Joe will give the game up.

If Joe wins he will fight other champs leaving Mundine behind.....no value in Mundine VS Kess with no prize.

Bottom line Mundine needs to find other options other than Joe or Kess.

I reckon Mundine would have a good chance at fighting Kessler again if Kessler wins. Not so much a Calzaghe matchup since Calzaghe is at the tailend of his career.
