Yea but thats a risk they should take. And on top of that, they could have Gomez on the undercard and be ready to fill in, instead of headline.

I think Cotto will win, I'm pretty sure of it. But the odds will be pretty good and Gomez is a live underdog. A betting man might not mind taking this chance. I think Gomez has a better chance then Hatton had against Floyd actually atsch

Cotto has officially become a beast that wont be tamed by nobody not in the top 3. Although it may look like Gomez has some skills it is because wat he did to the human OLD punching bag Gatti who if you ask me shouldnt make it to the HOF. Cotto is a storm that has impressed me so much in his last three fighters that in my mind was FOTY.

 

Cotto will win this comfatably. He just has too much for the tough Gomez.

I like Gomez, and I understand why he taking this oppotunity, lord knows we dont need need any more Sergio Mora's in boxing. Many boxers fight their whole careers and never get the opportunity to fight for a title, I just hope Gomez can go the distance.

 

this fight worries me too, we saw what happened last time when cotto underestimated an oponent and came in under prepared against urkal, he was looking for one shot ko's.

 

I really hope you are not serious when you say that Gomez hits as hard as Mosley, Judah, Torres, because that is just ridiculous. Maybe you could argue about Chop Chop, but all of those guys are noticably better punchers.

 

No he wasn't. He was hurting Urkal with combinations, but ended up getting very frustrated with the constant head butting from Urkal every time he tried to come in.

 

this is boxing, anything could happen, man If Cotto loses the fight it surely be the biggest upset of 2008. Still Cotto will win in my mind.
