Gomez looked okay but not great against veteran Ben Tackie in his last fight. He seems like a very nice guy but Cotto is relentless and never stops. I see this ending inside the distance if it happens. Cotto TKO 7 Gomez
don't like this fight for Cotto, atsch he have nothing to gain from this fight, better go and fight Margarito that is much of a challenge. Either way i go with Cotto to win
No it isn't. The outcome of this fight has some doubts, where with PBF/DLH we already know the outcome. A boring ass UD/SD for Floyd. I'm not buying that **** fight again, but many morons (not hardcore boxing fans) will buy into the hype and they will get it. Nobody is happy with the choice of Gomez for an opponent, but he has some name recognition from The Contender and for beating the tar out of Gatti. More casual boxing fans will watch this fight then they would if Cotto fought Margo. (as sad as that seems) Maybe this is Arum's master plan, in order to get Floyd to fight Cotto. Floyd said Cotto needs to bring more money to the table, and fighting Gomez will bring a bigger audience to Miguel, and hopefully more fans. I know it's a long shot, but it makes sense on some level.
Reg should I even comment.....I'll private message you when the Giants pull off the greatest upset in NFL history. Oh and not to get off topic here....I would like to see Cotto box his way to a UD, I thnk Gomez is hard nosed and won't die down. Cotto is superior in almost every way so why not showcase his talents and give the public a taste of his skills and not just his brutality.
the difference in class is going to obvious .... after the 1st round gomez will already look like a beaten man ... watch april 12th and see ...Cotto is going to come in and destroy him because he knows that A) He will have new people watching aka the Gomez contender fanbase B) he has to look like a monster in this fight after his close fight with mosley C) a beastly performance on free hbo boosts his value as a PPV fighter and will likely be the stamp that gets PBF in the ring with him D) anyone with boxing iq sees the VAST difference in class between the two it really is an awful pairing i feel sorry for gomez
