the fight was agreed long before a UK tv deal was made.

Khan is facing only smaller fighters and light punchers for a reason, Madiana is walking around as another WBA champ as well and Khan wont fight him, it seems anybody buit him he will face it is disgusting

So Malignaggi is a pushover now? Wait and see he is going to give Khan a little trouble! Ask Juan Diaz if Paulie is a pushover.

Paulie is a nice fighter, but he was handpicked. Paulie has probably a less than 5% chance of winning.

Of course Khan didnt decide to fight Malignaggi. His promoters made that decision! He probably just ok'd it.

If you think Khan was that scared of getting hit flush by a dangerous puncher he would spar with Manny Pacquiaio??? Give me a break.

Malignaggi is one of the top 5 or 6 light welters in the world and has good skills.

Kudos for the slick and subtle hate thread though...

Probably all part of the "Wait till it gets big" bs that plagues boxing.. 140 is stacked, lets start seeing these young guns fight. Hopefully HBO can put together a tournament of sorts. That would be great for the sport, IMO

It's just a perfect fight for Khan. Malignaggi is a bigger name than Maidana, Bradley, Alexander etc., and he has no punch. You can't really criticize the choice of opponent. It's logical for Khan's US debut.

Who was it who said be was approached by HBO, as a contestant in a 140lb version of the Super 6? I can't remember...I don't think it was Bradley. Alexander?

I'd love to see it, anyway.

If included, I think Ortiz could finish on top.

    Thanks Bigreg,

There are only a handful of posters (you, Varg, Pimp C, Antwan Maxx, Benny Blanco...etc) that have the comprehension skills and productive reasoning ability to read a thread and GET IT...and have the intelligence to respond appropriately!!!
Indeed, that is exactly what I was saying...All the Belt-Holders at 140lbs were gearing-up to fight each other...Alexander fought Urango, Bradley had signed and ready to go against Maidana. So after Alexander handled Urango...Khan vs Alexander would have been perfect. But Khan chose a "safe" fight with Malignaggi. Is Paulie a push over...Hell No, But it is a Safer fight than Alexander. And it was sad that only a HANDFUL of poster understood that was the point of the thread.

Way back in the 80's, I heard a great saying: "If you throw a rock into a crowd of people, the person that yells the loudest, is the one who got hit".

So when I or anyone creates a thread and other posters lack of comprehension doesn't allow them to understand it...So therefore they begin to reply..."Racist, You're Gay...blah blah blah". All they have just done is told everyone else about themselves or GOT HIT WITH A ROCK!!!!

Hey Darryl, I know you've got a Black Panther meeting to get to real quick, but answer me this question..... Bradley's been without a dance partner for a couple of weeks now, so why doesn't he fight Alexandor?

Hmmm Let's see...On fighter has a "contracted" date in St. Louis in August, the other fighter has a "Contracted" date in California in July. Bradley had a fight originally scheduled (a welterweight fight) with an undefeated Luis Carlos Abregu before Alexander fought Urango. Then once Maidana beat Cayo, Maidana worked out an agreement to compensate Abregu. The Maidana got injured. Then Bradley "HONORED" his original fight with Abregu.
